I came to Japan last November, if there is one thing that I miss, it’s celebrating my birthday with my friends back home. But I won’t lie that I was excited to celebrate my birthday in Tokyo. Yes, my first birthday celebration in another country! I wasn’t expecting much, as a matter of fact, my only wish was a whole cheesecake from Starbucks. But I had the best surprise of my life!
Tokyo is known for its diverse and beautiful scenery at night. Even from our apartment we can see the skyline of Tokyo Sky Tree. On my birthday I was able to enjoy the view of Tokyo Tower. I celebrated my first birthday in Japan at Fish Bank Tokyo. It’s located at Shiodome City Center. This restaurant is on the 42nd floor of the building and its view and interior is breathtaking. A dinner would cost around 10,800yen per head inclusive of a full course meal, unlimited wine and liquor for two hours and of course the first class service you deserve.
For special occasions, you have to make a reservation for the seats and your preferences. The restaurant can prepare those little details for you. Also, if you are celebrating your birthday like me, a special dessert plate plus a birthday greeting would be prepared for you. With the concept of modern fusion of French and Mediterranean dishes, you could never go wrong. They will also take your photo and give you a printed one to take home.
I could say that my first birthday in Japan was a blast, i never expected this much and it has lessened my homesickness, I believe Japan always finds a way to make me feel at home. I recommend everyone to try out this restaurant as the price is well worth it. I also want to share to you that I actually woke up with the whole Starbucks cheesecake inside the fridge the next day. It made me think that my first birthday in Japan was really good after all.
