Ginza is Japan’s high-end shopping district that houses popular brands like Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, Chanel, Dior and many more. Ginza also houses quite a number of fine dining establishments and here I would like to present one of them. Some of you might be thinking that you can’t afford to dine in an expensive place like this, but this cafe won’t drain all of the money in your pocket.
Located on the 4th floor of Gucci’s building is its own cafe. There are 3 things that you will love about this place.
The Gucci Cafe is far from your usual urban cafe. The white and brown coordinated interior design of the cafe is very much in keeping with Gucci’s chic image. The cafe is mostly visited by people who want to chat and dine or by some businesspeople who conduct meetings with clients. One of the strong points of this cafe is the peaceful and serene atmosphere.
The food in Gucci Cafe is limited but you can still choose something from the menu or you can even opt for sets during lunch time. Sets here includes your choice of main, drink and dessert. Or if you’re not in the mood to eat much, you can just choose from the selection of drinks and desserts. This place is an excellent choice for tea time gatherings.
Since this is Gucci’s own Cafe, you might wonder how much you might spend for a meal here. Depending on your appetite, you can have a decent meal here from 3000 to 5000 yen which is fairly reasonable for a brand cafe.
In one side of the Gucci Cafe, you will notice a glass case where chocolates embossed with Gucci’s logo are being displayed. They sell these for a fair price and are sold in boxes. These chocolates have an elegant sweetness to them and are a popular product during Valentine’s Day.
At first I felt very intimidated trying out this cafe because it has such an expensive and high-end image. But I came to realize that I wouldn’t get to experience this place if I don’t take a step forward and luckily I did! It was a wonderful experience. The food is good and the staff is nice as well. So if ever you’re in Tokyo, take the time to visit Ginza for some shopping or sight seeing and drop by the Gucci Cafe if you want to have a different fine dining experience.
