On a beautiful day when the sun shines bright and you have nowhere to rush to after visiting the famous Tokyo Skytree, cute Moomins are waiting to welcome you to their House Café.
On the first floor of Tokyo Skytree, just steps away from the East exit of the Tobu line, Tokyo Skytree station, customers waiting in line, are handed food and drink menus before being seated inside the café where the table is set up. While waiting, they could take this chance to take photos with the Moomin couple sitting on the two chairs in front of the shop.
Once you step in, you will see the shelves of Moomin goods and items before heading to the café zone.
Moomin House Café is a restaurant inspired by Finland’s popular children’s book called “The Moomins”. It brings you a variety of Finnish coffee and milk, including delicious dishes and yummy desserts.
The main concept of this place is anti-loneliness. Either you come alone or with company, one big Moomin doll will be assigned to sit with you, accompanying you during your pleasant time at the café. But if you are more than four, you can have your own private party room.
Located in a conveniently accessible building where stands one of the most visited Tokyo’s landmarks, Moomin House Café gathers people together and brings them joy. The relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff allow us to feel like there is a lot of fun to look forward to. Even in the dessert dish, the playful side of the café can be found in the tower of chocolate, crême brûlée and berry jam can be split into three cute cups. And you can also choose your favorite Moomin character to place in the dish too.
I have been to Tokyo many times. But this experience was brand new and makes me want to visit more coffee shops in the capital of Japan. This one would definitely not be missed in my next trip!
Let’s come and play with cute Moomin dolls at Moomin House Café, Tokyo Skytree. It opens daily from 8 am to 10.30 pm. For more information, you can contact their website.
