“Top of Shinagawa Buffet” Restaurant is located on the 39th floor of Prince Shinagawa Hotel. This Buffet offers great views during both day and night times. In the morning, the place looks simple and elegant with a cozy sofa from which you can enjoy a very nice view of Tokyo. While in the evening, a different view of Tokyo with high-rise buildings and bright colorful lights will surely mesmerize you.

The greatest things about this restaurant are that it has a large selection of dishes, from appetizers and desserts to their famous roast beef, which is the center of attraction. Unlike other buffet-style restaurants in Japan (or “Viking” as they are called here), this restaurant doesn’t have 1 or 1 and a half hour time limit, so there is no need to rush, there is enough time to chat away with your friends or loved ones or take some pictures. The place is also great for semi-formal meetings or negotiations. A drink bar that offers coffee, juice and tea is also included in the bill. Alcoholic drinks are also available at separate prices.

During weekdays, the prices for buffet are around ¥ 2,800 for lunch and ¥ 3,600 for dinner. While on the weekends, there is an additional fee of ¥500. Prices are inclusive of tax but 10% will be added as a service charge, which is typical for this kind of a restaurant.
The place is usually open from 11:30 am to 3 pm during lunchtime, and 6 pm to 10 pm during dinnertime.

Seeing that prices and working hours frequently change, make sure check the latest information on their website beforehand.

If you decide to pay a visit, I suggest you call the restaurant first for reservation, especially if you prefer to sit on the sofa or in the glass window area. Though a little bit pricey, the experience is worth your money. After all, you would hardly regret the magnificent scenery and delicious meals you can get at this hotel’s restaurant.
