After the celebration of Pokemon’s 20th anniversary in February 2016, it seems like more and more news revolving Pokemon has come about since. Some of which include the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon, and even a sneak peak of what to expect for the Pokemon Go.
Well aside from that, Pokemon Centers in Japan have introduced a new range of merchandise which I’m sure many Pokemon fans could not wait to get their hands on. Ditto is the theme and these adorable plushies could not be any cuter!
The Henshin! Metamon series which translates to, Transform! Ditto, is a story of a Ditto who is weak in transforming but takes on the challenge anyway. The result is that Ditto transforms into a Pokemon of choice. But retains its odd vestigial face. What a cute background story for the merchandise to come!
The series includes a selection of Ditto themed plushies from Pikachu, Clefairy, and the first starter Pokemon’s Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle which is sold for 1200 yen each, and is an adorable option.
These 5 Pokemon choices also come in the form of a keychain at 800 yen that you can take with you anywhere. However, it may make you wonder if the smile is a poker face at times though, which may eventually put a smile on your face.
I won’t blame you if you don’t know who Ditto is, but it’s actually a purple looking blob, called Metamon in the Japanese version. Ditto first appears in the Red and Blue version of the game and its only form of attack is transforming, which actually lets you transform into your opponents’ Pokemon.
So there you have it, if you’re interested in purchasing your own Ditto themed merchandise, these were released on March 26th so head down to your nearest Pokemon Center or shop online!
