    Tokyo Hütte prides itself on being located near the Tokyo Sky Tree. It is an accessible hostel that offers dormitory rooms (mixed and female-only), as well as a twin room. Mixed dormitory rooms have 8 beds with a tatami space costing 3,200 yen per person per night. The bunk beds have curtains to ensure individual privacy. Each bed has a bedside light, electrical socket, luggage space and a security box. Bathroom and showers are shared. The female-only dormitory has 4 large beds with the same amenities, costing 3,500 yen per person per night. The twin bed has a Japanese futon bed, and it costs 7,500 yen for the room for one night. Facilities include Wi-Fi, showers, hair dryers, a fridge, a kettle, a steam iron, and coat hangers.

    Toco Tokyo Heritage Hostel

    The Toco Tokyo Heritage Hostel offers guests the chance to stay in a traditional Japanese home that has already been around for 90 years. It opened in October 2010 in Tokyo, and it caters to people of many different nationalities. It is equipped with its own bar where many guests like to have a drink as it is a great place to make new friends. Prices depend on whether you’re staying in bunk beds or in a room. Bunk beds cost 2,800 yen per person while rooms that sleep 2-3 people range from 6,800-8,700 yen per night.

    Star Inn is probably the best hostel for first-timers in Japan. It is a budget-friendly place with a homey atmosphere perfect for meeting new people. It is located near Aoto station, which is very convenient if guests want to travel by train. It is also easily accessible from Narita and Haneda airport. There are four types of rooms: mixed dormitory, female-only dormitory, private room, and Japanese room (can accommodate up to 5 people). Room rates start as low as 2,500 yen per head.
