Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu, the Manga About Boys Who Love Yaoi, Is Launching Its Anime Version!

  • Are you a male who likes yaoi? Good news, as there is an anime you can relate to! Yaoi, or Boys Love, is basically fiction about romantic or sexual relationships between men. Male fans of yaoi are known as “fudanshi” which literally means “rotten boy”. There is a new anime series about fudanshi which will be released in July 2016, and it is called Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu (Rotten Boys’ High School Life).

    About the Series

    Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu is a manga series created by Michinoku Atami. The story revolves around Ryou Sakaguchi, a high school student who is into Boys Love, despite being straight. He usually hangs out with his friends such as Daigo who shares the same interest as him, Rumi Nishihara who is a “fujoshi” which is the female version of the fudanshi nickname, Yuujirou Shiratori who is a gay friend, and Toshiaki Nakamura.

    Meet the Voice Actors!

    The voice actor for Ryou Sakaguchi is Wataru Hatano who has lent his voice to many anime series, such as the character Harutoki in Bleach, and Ritsu Kasanoda in Ouran High School Host Club.

    Koutarou Nishiyama will be voice acting as the character Daigo. Koutarou Nishiyama’s previous works include being a voice actor for Yoshiharu Hishomu in Kiznaiver, and Kazunori Uesugi in Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note.

    Aya Suzaki will lend her voice as the fujoshi Rumi Nishihara. She had voice acted as Mako Mankanshoku in Kill la Kill, and Minami Nitta in The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls.

    Yuujirou Shiratori will be voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who had voiced the characters Yuuji Sakamoto in Baka to Test to Shuukanjuu, and Noctic Lucis Caelum in Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV.

    Nojima Kenji will be voice acting the character Toshiaki Nakamura. Previously, he was the voice actor for Tomoya Okazaki in Clannad Movie, Yuuta Takemoto in Honey and Clover II, and Yuuto Kiba in High School DxD.

    From the list of wacky main characters and its fun plotline, the series is geared towards fans who enjoy the comedy genre. Those who are not into yaoi can also enjoy the humor in this series! Are you excited for this anime?
