  • Pedicures are pretty but beautiful designs can be quite expensive. Not to mention that they have the tendency to chip easily so to keep them looking beautiful, you need to ensure you don’t knock your toes on anything.

On top of that, not everyone has the luxury to go to a salon to get their nails done either. Hence, a simple and fast solution to stay chic is to wear pantyhose or stockings with pedicure designs printed on them!

    Fake Nail Stockings

The aptly named Fake Nail Stockings made its debut recently in Japan, and the ingenious idea has spread online so you may have already seen them plastered over the internet. The stockings have different nail designs for each toe, and they aren’t what I would consider simple designs that could be easily made at home either. To emulate the nail designs which at times can be very intricate, the designs on the stockings also incorporate the use of rhinestone embellishments!

    Designs

    pedi-flower

There are various designs available such as Flamingo, Paint, Mermaid, Lime Candy, Sunny Shower, and Tile Flower. The stockings are available in both knee-length styles and full-length styles, at 1069 yen and 1393 yen respectively.

    pedi-rapunzel

On top of that, there are designs which are based on Disney themes such as Rapunzel, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, and Tinker Bell. The full-length stockings are priced at 1620 yen, while knee-length stockings retail at 1296 yen.

    pedi-eiffel

Those that are infatuated with Paris will love the Parisienne designs which are the Eiffel Tower and Flower. It appears that these designs are only available in knee-length styles at 1296 yen.

You can get your hands (or rather, feet) on these stockings at the Belle Maison website below. Wearing them may require some adjustments to fit the toenails and obviously they are not exactly like the real thing, but hopefully, nobody is going to observe your toenails that closely anyway. What a practical and clever idea! What do you think? Do you have any favorites or any plans to purchase some for yourself?
