Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort is a 200-room resort offering a great panoramic view of the East China Sea. It is a new expansion of Starwood Resorts & Hotels Worldwide, Inc. in agreement with Sunmarina Operations Co., Ltd. The resort is set to open anytime in the middle of 2016 as a re-branding of the existing Sunmarina Resort and will be providing guests with an upper-upscale hospitality.
Each of the 200 refurbished rooms will have an access to stunning sunset views through a balcony. It will also have high-speed internet access, LCD flat screen TVs with premium channels, tea and coffee makers, and refrigerators. Bathroom amenities include slippers, bathroom telephone, hairdryer, separate bathtub and shower, rain forest shower, and Shine for Sheraton Bath Amenities. Other room amenities include air conditioner, check-in kiosk, electronic room key, emergency exit maps, alarm clock, in-room electronic safe, smoke detectors, deadlock and secondary lock on room door, etc. Certain fees may apply on certain amenities or services.
The resort will provide a lot of recreation and entertainment activities for everyone such as diving, snorkeling, and jet skiing. Indoor activities will also be extra fun and relaxing with the resort’s indoor pool, communal bath, and spa and fitness center. Some of these services and facilities may not be available for 24 hours so it is necessary to make advance requests.
Great meals will surely be enjoyed with family and friends at the resort’s dining area. Three restaurants will treat your palate: Barbecue Terrace, Senses, and Atrium Lounge. Barbecue Terrace gives diners a chance to grill their own meal. On the other hand, Senses offers a sophisticated ambiance featuring dishes made from local ingredients, while the Atrium Lounge provides a relaxing atmosphere for having light meals. A dining program for kids called SPG® Kids Pass program will give them a chance to have an access to a variety of dining options. If you want your kids to have a pass, you may sign-up upon checking-in or anytime during your stay.
It is said that 46 guest rooms will be added in the early of 2017 in its newly built south wing which will help accommodate more guests who want to have the best Okinawan experience. Look out for the opening of the resort this summer and check out the extensive renovations that will be done!
