  • Autumn season in Japan is here! Are you already excited to catch the changing colors of the leaves? There are so many places to do this activity and so many restaurants providing autumn-themed menus. One of these places is the ever-popular Grand Hyatt Tokyo which is a luxury hotel in the heart of the capital city. It will be offering its autumn menus made from seasonal ingredients this September until the end of fall. The different restaurants and cafés within the hotel will be showcasing their refreshing menus with great flavors of the season’s bounty.

    Grand Hyatt Tokyo is under the ownership of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, a multinational owner, operator, and franchiser of hotels, resorts, and vacation properties. It is a large luxury hotel built in Roppongi (六本木) great for holiday destinations. It is also situated in a stimulating center ideal for business, culture, fashion and leisure. Because of its central location, it is the perfect place to comfortably explore and discover Japan. It is proximal to famous Tokyo destinations such as the Tokyo Tower (東京タワー), Ginza (銀座), Aoyama (青山), Tokyo Disneyland (東京ディズニーランド), Tokyo Big Sight (東京ビックサイト), etc. If you come from Narita International Airport (成田空港), it will only take 120 minutes by limousine bus to reach the place or 70 minutes from Haneda Airport (羽田空港).

    The Oak Door Steakhouse specializes in premium quality meat and ingredients that are cooked to perfection by using dramatic oak wood-burning ovens. It has an open kitchen where you can see them preparing your food.

    The Oak Door will be surprising its guests with a Pumpkin Burger in October and a Thanksgiving Burger in November. As the name implies, the Pumpkin Burger will be made of pumpkin flavors topped with Spanish ham, cheese, and a thin slice of pumpkin. On the other hand, the Thanksgiving Burger will me made of turkey meat drizzled with cranberry sauce and gravy, along with a side dish of mashed potatoes.

    In line with this, The Oak Door Bar will also be showcasing its delicious autumn fruit cocktails made with grapes, kumquats, and persimmons from October 1 to December 31, 2016. Spooky Halloween-themed cocktails such as “V-Blood,” a red cocktail looking a lot like vampire’s blood, will also be available on October 21, 22, 28, 29 and 30, 2016.

    The French Kitchen (フレンチ キッチン)

    Another restaurant in this hotel is The French Kitchen which is a casual all-day dining restaurant serving French dishes in a lively open kitchen, bar and terrace environment. It is open all day serving breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch buffets. For special dinners, private parties, and company celebrations, a private room equipped with its own kitchen is available.

    Roku Roku (六緑)

    One Japanese restaurant in the hotel is Roku Roku. It serves premium quality seafood such as sushi and sashimi and a wide selection of Japanese sake from boutique distilleries. Roku Roku are preparing fresh salmon roe dishes such as Ikura-don which is salmon roe over a bed of rice and Gunkan-maki which is a salmon roe nigiri sushi until mid-November (may change due to availability).

    Keyakizaka (けやき坂)

    Keyakizaka is a teppanyaki restaurant incorporating international flavors in its menu. They will also be serving fragrant matsutake mushroom (松茸) menus this season until mid-November. Some of these will be prepared and served right in front of your eyes.

    Shunbou (旬房)

    Shunbou is another restaurant that features Japanese cuisines made from fresh ingredients. Guests can experience Kappo (割烹) or Kaiseki (会席) style menus. This place is suitable for both business and private occasions. If you’d like to try the highly sought matsutake mushrooms during the fall season, you should check out Shunbuo’s Matsutake Kaiseki Courses that are available only until October 31, 2016.

    Chinaroom (チャイナルーム)

    Aside from Japanese food, authentic regional Chinese dishes prepared in an elegant style are also available at Chinaroom. It offers endless dim sum during lunch time and the place is ideal for business, private, and family gatherings. Chinaroom is offering a Healthy Mushroom Hot Pot this fall available until November 30, 2016.

    Fiorentina Italian Café (イタリアン カフェ フィオレンティーナ)

    Fiorentina Italian Café is located on the lobby floor which offers guests the chance to taste some of the authentic Italian dishes focusing on seasonal ingredients. It has an outside terrace and an access to the fashionable Keyakizaka Street making the restaurant a true embodiment of the Italian lifestyle. Fiorentina will be featuring a variety of black-and-white pizzas covered with Italian truffles which will only be available for the whole month of October.

    Fiorentina Pastry Boutique (フィオレンティーナ ペストリーブティック)

    For award-winning cakes, pastries, sweets, and chocolates, Fiorentina Pastry Boutique has it all. It consists of an internationally recognized team of pastry chefs making a large selection of cakes, tarts, freshly baked bread, baked desserts, and much more! You can either enjoy them at Fiorentina Italian Café or take out the goodies.

    The pastry boutique will also be selling cute Halloween-themed pastries for the whole month of October. This includes the Pumpkin Paris-Brest filled with custard cream and decorated with a mini pumpkin on the top, and the Pumpkin Roll Cake made from fresh pumpkins and decorated with bat-shaped chocolates.

    Maduro (マデュロ)

    The Maduro Jazz Lounge has an extensive collection of cigars and beverages paired with an evening snack menu. Nightly live entertainment is also offered here. Fresh fruit cocktails such as Koushu Grape Cocktails and Yamagata La France Pear Cocktails will be served at Maduro until the end of November. There will also be premium whiskey and champagne tastings for guests to enjoy the different flavors – from light to intense – also until the end of November.
