Virtual reality, or simply VR, has changed the way people use technology since it first gained popularity in the mid-2010s. From being used in video games to cinema and entertainment, and even in advanced uses such as for healthcare, education and training, and engineering, virtual reality has become a door to advancement.
Konica Minolta (コニカミノルタ), a Japanese technology company, is taking things up a notch in Japan by letting you experience space through virtual reality. VirtuaLink (バーチャリンク) will surely be an out of this world virtual reality experience you wouldn’t want to miss!
Konica Minolta’s VirtuaLink will not only connect the virtual world to reality, but it will also connect people with each other. VirtuaLink is a new multiplayer virtual reality entertainment service to be launched by Konica Minolta which takes the concept of synchronization. From June 26 until the end of November 2017, VirtuaLink will be providing a new and exciting experience by connecting people through space at Tokyo SKYTREE TOWN!

The Wonder Pod is a virtual reality space adventure that allows up to 50 people to play at the same time. Using the virtual reality headset, you can get to experience a 360-degree view of virtual 3D space. Each space pod rides two people who will have to work together in order to clear the missions that will occur in space. The Wonder Pod is controlled through different movements and point of views. You have to coordinate and work with your partner in order to get the best experience in this multiplayer game.
Entry to Konica Minolta VirtuaLink is limited to ages 12 and above, and the ticket price is 1,500 yen per person.
Aside from the opening in Tokyo SKYTREE TOWN, VirtuaLink is also set to open in DiverCity Odaiba (ダイバーシティ お台場) this July 2017.
Aside from the Konica Minolta VirtuaLink in TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN, Konica Minolta Planetarium TENKU on the 7th floor of Tokyo SKYTREE TOWN will also be opening a free-to-enter exhibit to commemorate its 5th anniversary. The exhibit will be showcasing an up-to-date history of Planetarium TENKU and will also be introducing the challenges that it will face.
