    Shiraho

If you decide to go there we highly recommend you to go to the South-East part of the island, Shiraho. In this area, you can see the largest blue coral reefs in the world! Moreover, you should definitely do some scuba diving while in that area! However, get all of the information at the local tourist centre because some parts of the reef are protected by the government.

By the way, if you don’t want to pay a fortune and stay in a hotel you should try Bed & Breakfasts in Shiraho!

We also highly recommend you to take a bus from Ishigaki-city to go to Kabira! There, you can enjoy some of the loveliest beaches in Japan! The view will astound you! Also, if you have enough money, a great gift idea is to purchase some black pearls on the island.

    Mount Omoto

If you are a professional hiker, we recommend you to do some hiking around the Mount Omoto. It is a small but the highest mountain in Okinawa prefecture! Just to let you know, hiking Mt Omoto can be dangerous and the trail is actually officially closed, but some experienced hikers are still going on the adventures! Our main and crucial advices are to take plenty of water, to use sun creams, to get a real map and not to forget some great shoes because it is very slippery and there are quite a few vipers!

The great advantage of this little paradise is that it has an airport, if you have sea sickness, moreover, you can travel from there to Okinawa in less than an hour. In addition, you can take the ferry to visit other islands from the main harbour of the archipelago, such as Iriomote-jima and Taketomi-jima.
