  • In Japan, it is not unusual for stories to transcend forms. What was originally a manga series is usually adapted into an animation series, and eventually, it makes it to either the big screen or the stage. This November 2017, Natsume Ono’s ACCA 13 makes it to the stage! Here’s what you need to know about this latest adaptation.

    ACCA 13

ACCA 13, or ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept., is a manga series by Natsume Ono. Other works of the manga creator include Ristorante Paradiso and House of Five Leaves.

ACCA 13 is a seinen manga that was serialized in SQUARE ENIX’s Monthly Big Gangan from 2013 to 2016. It was later published in a tankobon (independent) format consisting of six volumes and was recently licensed by Yen Press for distribution in North America. ACCA 13 was also adapted into a Japanese animation series by MADHOUSE with 12 episodes that aired from January to March 2017.
