Hi everyone, I’m in Tokyo for a couple of weeks towards the end of April, was wondering what some recommendations were for a wee boogie and a drink? I’d like to mingle with the locals too, not just tourists, so which areas in Tokyo are popular among the locals for a good night out?

Hi there! Hope it’s not too late and you’re still around the Tokyo region – but if you haven’t already discovered, Shinjuku and Roppongi are great places for a good boogie! :)

Agree with Sarah! Especially about Roppongi. There is a whole district/street that is lined with clubs. It can be pretty intense but if you’re used to it, it’s no problem!

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has been to one of those ‘international parties’? Would love some insight on what to expect and whether it’s worth checking out. Any info would be awesome like where to get tickets, how much it is, where they’re held etc.. thanks!

Yo!
Forget Roppongi, it’s a tourist trap, and Shinjuku is overpriced and full of girl bars.
Shibuya is good. Womb is a decent place to go and it’s within walking distance of Shibuya Station. There are a few nightclubs and love hotels (for if you get lucky) in that area, but Womb is the only club name I can remember off the top of my head.
Have fun!

Agreed Bexx! Roppongi is mainly full of foreigners and the vibes are a bit sleazy. Obviously still fun if you don’t mind that kind of atmosphere but I think Shibuya is a more authentic Japanese night out ;)

Shibuya’s the best place for big and some smaller clubs. Womb and Vision!
