Hi, I wondered if anyone could help me…
My parents are visiting Tokyo next week, and visiting me as I have lived here for a few months now.
They are quite fussy eaters, my dad doesn’t eat any sorts of fish or rice, and my mum hates meat with fat on it and all types of mushrooms. This seems to be most of the regular Japanese diet!
I really dont want to resort to taking them to mcdonalds. Does anyone know a good Japanese restaurant with I suppose western-style cooked meats but a Japanese style menu?
Thanks so much!
I would really recommend a chain restaurant/izakaya called Torikizoku.
This is a cheap, lively, and friendly place with and english menu and a variety of western-style and Japanese food. I have also taken visitors here before if they weren’t sure what food they would like!
You can get Japanese foods here like takoyaki, Japanese fried chicken, and yakisoba noodles. But you can also get standard things like french fries, grilled meat, vegetables, and fried rice.
Its a decent place to go, not classy but definitely cheap and you know what you’re getting!
Hope this helps!
