Discover a historic side of Japan just 10 minutes from the airport!
Naritasan Monzen Shopping District stretches along the road leading to the historic Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, which was built in Narita over 1,000 years ago. Since it is just 10 minutes from the airport by train, you can easily stop by to visit on your way to Tokyo or on your way back to the airport.
At this shopping district where buildings with historic architecture line the street, you can buy unagi no kabayaki (broiled eel glazed with sauce), traditional Japanese snacks like senbei (rice crackers) and dango (sweet dumplings), and all manner of household goods and souvenirs unique to Japan.
You might discover beautiful, photogenic sites along the way. After walking up the shopping district, take a moment to visit Naritasan Shinshoji Temple.

A beautiful view overlooking Tokyo Bay!
Chiba Port Tower is a tower symbolic of Chiba Port Park in the Tokyo Bay area, just a 12-minute walk from the JR Chibaminato Station in Chiba City.
The tower has an observation deck on its top floor that stands 113 meters above the ground and has glass windows all the way around, so the view is beautiful even during the day. Tokyo Bay looks magnificent at night, as does Odaiba across the water, the surrounding industrial parks, and many other sights. When the weather is clear, you can even see Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Skytree in the distance.
Chiba Port Tower is also popular as a destination for lovers because of the beautiful view at night. The view from the observation deck ensures a wonderful experience for visiting travelers.
