  • Haagen-Dazs ice cream is really popular all over the world. As you know, there are many flavors and those are different depending on country and regions. Japan in not an exception. Haagen-Dazs ice creams are pretty popular in Japan as well. There are around 40 flavors of Haagen-Dazs ice cream that you can see only in Japan.

    1. Murasaki-imo (purple potato)

    Murasaki-imo is one of potato having a purple color. The potato is kind of sweet just like a normal sweet potato. Murasaki-imo flavor of Haagen-Dazs ice cream is pretty popular in Japan.

    2. Sakura

    When you heard Sakura (cherry blossom) flavor of ice cream, you would feel wired because flowers are not foods! However, in japan, there are many foods having the cherry blossom flavor. Sakura Haagen-Dazs ice cream is a limited version for spring.

    3. Opera

    Opera is the name of a chocolate cake. As the name suggest, this ice cream is just like a cake. There is chocolate on the top and under the chocolate, there are pie crusts and vanilla ice cream. If you eat this ice cream, you would feel like you are eating a cake because of its tasty pie crust and chocolate.

    4. Apple pie

    When you eat this ice cream, I think you would feel like you are eating an apple pie. Inside of this ice cream, there are some little pieces of apple and cinnamon. Sounds like an apple pie? Or even better than ice cream, it’s a mix.

    5. Cookies and green tea

    Now, green tea is pretty popular as a Japanese represented tea. So I think it is natural that there is green tea flavor ice cream from Haagen-Dazs! Actually, there is normal green tea flavor ice cream from Haagen-Dazs, but this is new products, Cookies, and green tea. Just like Oreo cookies ice cream, I bet this is pretty tasty!
