  • Who is Pom Pom Purin?

    You have heard about Hello Kitty and My Melody, but do you know about this unbearably adorable character?

    This is Pom Pom Purin. Like the infamous Hello Kitty and My Melody, Pom Pom Purin is also a part of the Sanrio family. Here are a few fun facts about Pom Pom Purin: He is a golden retriever character who is always wearing a brown beret and who absolutely loves his Mama-made pudding. Guess what his favorite color is? Yep, you got it, it’s yellow! (If you didn’t get that right, you’d do better next time!)

    Experiencing the Kawaii Pom Pom Purin Café

    This Pom Pom Purin Café is located on Takeshita Street in Harajuku. Look out for the Cute Cube Harajuku building on Takeshita Street and go onto the third floor of the building. Once you are on the third floor of the building, Pom Pom Purin Café should be easy to spot. Once you are inside the cafe, you would immediately feel as if you have traveled into a different world.

    This is Pom Pom Purin’s World where everything from the cutleries you use to enjoy your meal to every decor of the café is carefully designed to fit the theme of the café. On the menu, you can see there are a variety of Pom Pom Purin-themed foods you can order, from main dishes to drinks and to desserts, you are sure to find something to satiate your hunger. No doubt the adorably designed food and drinks is also a feast to the eyes!


    When you are done enjoying your kawaii meal, you can visit the gift shop at the corner of the restaurant to purchase any Sanrio-related merchandises. Also, if you want to take pictures at the café, they feature a photo spot where you can take photos with Purin and his friends. Don’t be shy to ask the staff to do you a favor as they are very friendly and would surely be happy to help take photos of you with Pom Pom Purin!
