Fifty Shades of Earl Grey at Aoyama Tea Flower Market – (aka the Best Tea House in Tokyo)

  • A perfect day to spend with girlfriends or even by yourself. Super easy access from the Omotesando metro station literally less than a 2 minute walk. The store front is an actual working flower market with multiple flower arrangements in a cascade of colors. Walk thru it to find the tea cafe above. If the line outside was any indication, we were in for a treat!

    Beautiful flower

Beautiful flowers at the storefront – make sure to go all the way to the back of the store to get to the cafe!

    Lunch set

The lunch set is a bargain considering it comes with tea and usually some form of edible flower. The tea prices alone range from 700-900 yen. So to get a full lunch set with the tea at prices ranging from 1200-1900 yen is quite a steal.

Sample of our tartine and salad lunches above. The bread came warm and fresh from the oven with the perfect crustiness to compliment our salads. Delish!

    Fresh brewed teas

They have fresh brewed teas and even drinks such as ginger ale from scratch! You get a whole pot with your order (see below). To be able to drink this in the midst of an oasis in the heart of busy Omotesando is truly special.

Refresh tea – herbal blend. Pretty and tasty at the same time!

    At the end

This has definitely been one of the best tea shops I’ve ever been too. Going inside feels like you’ve stepped into someone’s secret garden. The open space, natural light and gorgeous surroundings makes for a perfect spot to get together with your family and friends. They have a wide range of special blends and even desserts that look like art masterpieces. Unfortunately we were too full to take advantage. Will definitely do so next time!
