Instead, they are replaced with tatami mats with each table having a heater called “kotatsu.” The heat source of the kotatsu is built onto the table itself which will surely warm the guests while dining. In addition to this, the whole place is also heated using space heaters. These are generally employed in smaller spaces. In case of bad weather, an overhead covering is available for customers so that they may continue dining. It will give diners the ultimate feeling of a winter getaway in a hot spring.
With the exposure to cold air, guests will definitely want to eat something warm. The restaurant’s open-air dining offers nabe, also known as hot-pot cooking, on its terrace. This is a type of hotpot or soup that is widely eaten during the cold season. It is a fun way to dine with family and friends as they are given the option to pick any cooked ingredients from the pot. Of course, refreshments like oranges is a traditional way of ending the course which is given after the meal. If you want to request for a blanket, you may do so.
