  • For those of you that don’t know, Ikebukuro West Gate Park is a television drama based on a novel by Ira Ishida. It aired in the year 2000, on the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS). Later on, it was released as a manga in order to reach a wider audience and continue the story.

This show might be difficult to watch if some of these themes make you uncomfortable. Ikebukuro West Gate Park also talks about things involving the Yakuza, an organized crime unit. People should be careful when watching the main character get into dangerous situations.

    Some mysterious stories like this aren’t for everyone. If you prefer a lighter, happier show, stay away from this one. If you enjoy thrilling adventure and horrific situations involved with gangs, then expect nothing less than excitement.
