Sailor Moon Fans, Brace Yourself for the Exhibition in April and New Season Release!

  • There are many magical girl anime shows that have aired in both Japan and around the world. However, when there is any mention of magical girls, one thing that pops to mind first is none other than the popular, Sailor Moon. Created by Takeuchi Naoko, the magical girl franchise is now reaching its 24th year.

    Many people were once part of this popular series during their time as kids, and when the new anime version of Sailor Moon Crystal was released, fans raised issues on how the appearance of each of the characters have changed. Nevertheless, viewers are still watching the magical girl series and with 2016 bringing out more for fans to look forward to.

    Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal Season 3

    Last year, Sailor Moon Crystal covered the two arcs corresponding to both the original Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R chapters. Also, with Season 3 of Sailor Moon Crystal set to air this coming Spring, the third arc will still continue by taking on the story of the original Sailor Moon S.

    Takahashi Akira will also be in charge of the character design in Season 3 along with Kon Chiaki as the new director. Sailor Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will also be making their first appearance in the new season of Crystal.

    Sailor Moon Exhibition

    Alongside the release of the 3rd Season of the magical girl series, an exhibition of the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon will also take place in Spring at Roppongi Hills’ Tokyo City View Observation Deck Sky Gallery.

    The Original Sailor Moon artwork from the 90’s of Takeuchi Naoko will be featured in the exhibit as well as popular goods and some new artwork created for the event. During the event, the Museum Cafe & Restaurant’s SUN cafe area located on the same floor will open as a Sailor Moon collaboration cafe.

    The Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Exhibit will be opening on April 16th until June 19th. Fans of the Sailor Moon franchise will surely be looking forward to these two events and if you’re one of them, make sure to check it out!
