Cosplayers, Your Figurines Can Have Their Own Photoshoots in Ikebukuro!

  • Almost anything is possible in the capital city of Japan. When it comes to cosplay photography, not only humans partake in the event but also inanimate objects. Such is the case of Haco Stadium Tokyo, a cosplay photo studio which opened in 2015. It is a cosplay paradise for those who want their pictures taken at different angles and settings of varying styles. However, this coming June, the studio will be adding a twist by holding a photoshoot event at Ikebukuro Station which is only meant for dolls!

    Haco Stadium Tokyo

Haco Stadium Tokyo is a cosplay complex consisting of 33 booths designed uniquely from each other ranging from traditional to futuristic settings. You can do whatever cosplay character you please as long as you bring your own costumes as the studio doesn’t supply any. An accessory shop (including outfits) is available within the premises which displays an abundant number of cosplay brands for you to choose from. The studio provides several facilities such as the styling area or changing room. Lockers are also available for store visitor’s belongings. If you don’t have a good camera with you, you can borrow one at a certain fee. Other stage accessories are also for rental.

    The Photography Event

Since there are so many cosplay and doll enthusiasts in Tokyo, Haco Stadium Tokyo finally announced a single-day event in June (June 19, 2016) exclusively for doll photo shoots. It has received a lot of positive feedback which gave the studio hope for its future success. Everyone is invited to attend as long as they bring their dolls, plushies and so on. The event will be held from 4 pm to 9:00 pm. Just like the usual cosplay photography, visitors are allowed to choose whatever setting they desire for their dolls. Everything will be covered at a price of 2,000 yen. If you don’t know anything about photography, you can still join the event as there are staff members available to assist you.

If you love cosplay and dolls at the same time, then this event might just be for you. It is also a great way for doll enthusiasts to mingle with each other while making new friends!
