Enjoying Flowers in Nagoya at Spring Festival

In Nagoya we can more enjoying spring flower in the festivals that are held. So what kind of festival are they? Below are spring festivals that you can enjoy until next month. Enjoy the spring!

    Flower Festival at Tsuruma Park

    What is happening in Tsuruma park after cheery blossom bloomed? There will be rose gardens in May and blue garden in late May until June. Here, you will see a big range of beautiful flowers with a lot of varieties. Other than that, there will be concert, tea ceremonies and some interesting activities. So don’t miss it!

    Higashiyama Park Spring Festival

    In this park, amount to 3800 cherry trees (in 100 kinds) are blooming. Also, in this area you can also enjoy hiking through the forest and hill.

    Schedule: Late March to early May
    Location: Nagoya Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens
    Admission: Subway Higashiyama Line Higashiyama-Koen station, 3 miniute-walk from Exit 3
    Admission: 500 yen

    Nagoya Castle Spring Festival

    Good news! The spring festival here is prolonged until first week of May. The sakura here is beautiful with special lighting. Here you can also the beautiful castle and tea ceremony (with additional charge)

    Wakamiya Festival

    Held at Wakamiya Hachiman-sha shrine, this festival is the one from three big festivals. Currently there is only one float that remain which called Fukurokujyu-sha.

    Schedule: May 15 – 16, 2015
    Location: Wakamiya Hachiman-sha (Wakamita Hachiman shrine)
    Admission: free
