Biohazard is also known as Resident Evil (レジデント イービル) abroad. It is a survival horror game created by Shinji Mikami (三上 真司) and Tokuro Fujiwara (藤原 得郎). It started as a video game but has branched out into films, comic books, novels, and other merchandise. This game is full of action and horror-inspired plot lines. It encompasses a lot of exploration and problem-solving activities.
As of 2017, the video game series sold 75 million units around the world. The main storyline focuses on a group of individuals who battle against Umbrella Corporation (アンブレラ社), an international pharmaceutical company. They also have to fight against the “T-virus ( T-ウイルス)” which can transform humans into monsters.
In terms of merchandise, various companies have already gained the Resident Evil license in order to produce their own toy figures. Some even produce replicas of the guns.
Biohazard Zombie Rush is a fun run event where entrants can run approximately two kilometers, either as a survivor or as a zombie.
As a survivor, you have to wear a life jacket-shaped apron. This will represent your life. Zombies will try to rip it off from you so you have to avoid zombie attacks as much as possible. Avoid as many zombie attacks as possible and claim a prize!
As a zombie, you have to transform into a zombie first before the game starts. Your goal is to rip off as many jackets as you can, then claim a prize for doing so. All you have to do is hide and wait for the survivors to come!
To transform into a zombie, you have to bring your own props and makeup. You can go to the makeup corner to do it. An advisor will be there to give you tips on how to apply the makeup. If you have no idea how to do zombie makeup, you can have somebody do it for you.
The atmosphere of the venue will be reminiscent of the Biohazard world so that participants are thrilled to reach the goal line. All participants will get a special card with a unique serial number on the day of the event. Those who will purchase a special entry ticket will receive an original cap and a dog tag with a serial number at the back.
Normal entry is 4,800 yen for adults and 2,800 yen for junior high and younger. If you come in a group of five, you can purchase the ticket for 4,300 yen per head. However, the tickets for this event are limited.
If you’d like to join the event without the hassle of getting your jackets ripped off, you may do so by not putting the jackets on. This way, you can enjoy the run at your own pace. This event is surely a great way for you to enjoy the Biohazard world either running for your life or running after another person’s life. What are you waiting for? Register now!
