    Minion’s Great Escape CAFE

You can enjoy the fun and unique atmosphere of the Despicable Me universe at these cafes through their interesting and delicious menu items and interior spaces.

The items on the cafe menu feature the adorable and hilarious Minions throughout them. Each dish is extremely cute and delicious so be sure to check them all out. At the Ikebukuro (池袋), Tokyo (東京) branch, there are four items on the food menu as well as four items on the sweets menu. Note, however, that the menu slightly differs from branch to branch.

    Food Menu

    1. Minion’s Great Escape Curry

The Minion’s Great Escape Curry features a Minion in a prisoner outfit as it gets arrested in the newest installment of Despicable Me. The white soup curry is topped with a Minion decoration as well as a side of salad that comes in a Minion cup.

    2. Prison Break Rice Casserole (ミニオンのプリズンブレイクドリア)

This casserole also features the adorable Minions still in their prison garb attempting to break out of prison to go back to Gru. The casserole is made up of a hearty amount of vegetables, giving you the strength to help the Minions get out of their little predicament.

The Kids’ Plate features bite-sized rice balls in the shape of Minions and a variety of all-time favorite appetizers such as shrimp fries, french fries, and milk pudding. This Kids’ Plate is not just for children so even the adults can enjoy it as well!

    4. GRU&DRU Twins Hamburger (グルーとドルーのツインズバーガー)

In Despicable Me 3, Gru’s twin brother, Dru, will be joining the franchise for the first time. The two hamburgers represent each of the twins – the black one being Gru and the white one being Dru. Gru’s burger has a patty and onions, while Dru’s burger features smoked salmon and avocado.

    Sweets Menu

    1. Minion Pudding (ミニオンカフェのぷるっとプリン)

The Minion Pudding comes with a limited edition pudding bowl with the Gru logo. The pudding itself is mango flavored and has a layer of coconut-flavored castella and fruits placed under it making it a hearty dessert.

The Minions absolutely love bananas so this dessert features an entire caramelized banana with an eclair filled with bananas as well.

    3. BELLO! Japanese Dessert (BELLO!JAPAN

This parfait is matcha (抹茶) flavored and the theme of the dessert is Minions vacationing in Japan.

The Affogato features two Minions. There is a piece of white chocolate placed on top of the glass so if you break the chocolate and pour the espresso into the glass, the chocolate and vanilla ice cream melts creating a delicious affogato. Once the espresso is in the glass, the Minion inside also floats.

When you purchase a drink menu item, you will get a drink coaster at random. There are eight coaster designs so try and see how many you can get!
