Miyagi prefecture is one of the prefectures that is blessed with the rich nature scenery. Nature is one of the characteristics of this prefecture. In autumn, to see the leaves changing color is something you don’t want to miss. The romantic yet fantastic scenery right in front of you with the breathtaking color of red, yellow, brown is one of the scenery symbols of the beauty of Japanese autumn. The two best place from this prefecture to see the autumn foliage is in Naruko River Gorge and the Akiu Cataract, and Akiu Great falls.

In autumn there is also Jozenji Street Jazz Festival, the festival will cheer you up in a romantic autumn day. This event attracts more than 700 musicians to perform in the stage, professional and amateur.
They will give you the best performance while we are enjoying the city turn its colors.

Warm your heart with illuminated zelkova trees in the cold winter of Sendai. The Sendai pageant of starlight is an annual event which would bright up the city with 600.000 of lights. Along the famous Jozenji Street, you will see many visitors enjoy the “Tunnel of Illumination” while taking pictures and chatting under the beautiful decorated trees.
You will be amazed by Miyagi scenery during spring time. Ogawara, one of Miyagi’s most famous Hanami (Cherry blossom viewing) spot and included in Japan Best 100 Spot to see beautiful Sakura trees. Ogawara city will welcome you with 1200 Sakura trees stretched for 8 km long. The Sakura Tunnel, are perfect for taking pictures or just to enjoy the best season of the year. Don’t forget to bring your picnic mat and foods as well.
