It is not unusual to see people wearing their birthstones as jewelry such as necklaces, rings, bracelets, and earrings. Given their nature, birthstones make the perfect birthday gifts!

    Kit Kat Chocolatory Birthstone Series

    The Kit Kat Chocolatory Birthstone Series features 12 kinds of chocolate representing the 12 months of the year. These limited edition chocolates are only sold in their specific month. Each box contains three pieces of chocolate-covered wafer bar and is sold at 1,485 yen. Each bar has a pearl sugar in the color of that month’s birthstone. Let’s find out more about each flavor!

    The first of the series is Topaz Kit Kat which comes out this November 2017. Topaz symbolizes fraternity and hope. It is also used as an amulet for relationships. Topaz Kit Kat has a chestnut flavor.

    December is represented by the gemstone Tanzanite which symbolizes nobleness and calmness. Tanzanite Kit Kat has a beni imo or purple sweet potato flavor.

    The red gemstone Garnet is the birthstone for those born in January. Garnet symbolizes chastity, truth, and faith. Garnet Kit Kat has a raspberry flavor.

    The love month of February is equivalent to the violet quartz, Amethyst. This gemstone symbolizes sincerity and peace of mind. Amethyst Kit Kat has a honeysuckle flavor.

    March is represented by Aquamarine which symbolizes courage and intelligence. Aquamarine Kit Kat has a grapefruit mint flavor.

    The precious Diamond is the birthstone for those born in April. Diamond Kit Kat has a rum raisin flavor.

    May is the month represented by the Emerald which symbolizes happiness and fortune. Emerald Kit Kat has a pistachio flavor.

    The summer month of June is represented by the Blue Moonstone. It symbolizes a premonition of love and purity. Blue Moonstone Kit Kat has a coconut flavor.

    The red Ruby is the gemstone for those born in July. It represents passion and dignity. Ruby Kit Kat has a tomato flavor.

    August is the month for the gemstone Peridot. Peridot Kit Kat has a flat lemon (shikuwasa) flavor.

    The blue Sapphire represents the month of September. It symbolizes charity, sincerity, and innocence. Sapphire Kit Kat has a blueberry flavor.

    The last in this Kit Kat Chocolatory series is the gemstone Tourmaline which symbolizes joy, comfort, and patience. Tourmaline Kit Kat has a peach flavor.

    Kit Kat Chocolatory Stores

    There are currently seven Kit Kat Chocolatory Stores strategically located within major department stores across Japan. Four of them are in Tokyo and there is one store each in Sapporo, Nagoya, and Osaka. Common store hours are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except for some stores that are open up until 9:00 PM. Business days conform to the department stores’ schedules so make sure to check them here.
