Nice things for my Grandma to do in Tokyo?

My grandma (around 67yo) is coming to Tokyo in April, and I need some ideas of what to do with her.
I like eating out, karaoke and nightlife, but obviously that might not be suitable for her.
I was thinking a tea ceremony, but they’re really expensive.
Anyone got any ideas?

You can take her out on a hanami if she’s coming early April. Other than that, most grandparents like peaceful activities so maybe visit museums that she might be interested in? Or take her to Disney and see what she thinks.

Thank you!! I should have been more specific; she’s coming at the end of April (26th) so she’ll have missed the cherry blossoms by then. I did ask her to come earlier so she could do hanami but she said she hates cold weather lol

Museums are a good idea. I’ll have to ask her if there are any in Tokyo she might want to visit.

Hey Molly! That’s so cute that your Grandma’s visiting :)

How about taking her to the old town – Asakusa, Ueno etc. It would be nice to take her to Sensoji temple and Ueno Park. There’s a couple of nice museums/art galleries in Ueno Park as well so that’s a good place to start!

Hope you have a lovely time!

Hi Anna!

Nice idea. She’s never been here so I’ve no idea what she’d be interested in :( It is cute of her to visit! Only a month to go now, squeeee!

Have an amazing time, Molly!

You’d said about a tea ceremony as well.. This isn’t the traditional type but they have amazing tea at this tea house that doubles up as a flower market!
